Eighth grade bible graduation
A few weeks ago the message in church was about the importance of our "inner circle." Who are the people that are giving us advice, encouragement and directing us down which path to travel? I have always known how important friends are and how without even realizing it they play a huge role in shaping who we are. I had no idea what a gift God was giving to me when I was 4 years old and a nice girl at church let me play on the tire swing with her. Leah and I have stayed friends through elementary school, jr.high, high school and college, while never going to the same school. Leah has always been my advisor, my encourager, my friend that wouldn't settle for telling me what I wanted to hear, but rather would hold me accountable. She has always steered me in the right direction. Her own walk with God has been inspiring. I am so thankful for our friendship and for her being part of my inner circle. This past weekend I was able to go visit her in Iowa and have a great girls weekend. We got facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, went out to great dinners. I also got to see her new home and go to a Drake basketball game(where she is the athletics business manager) It was such a fun time and Van man stayed home with daddy, grandma, grandpa and his uncles:)
