Vander Turns 3

My little man is 3! We never fathomed the amount of love we would be able to have for our kids until this guy graced our presence and changed our lives forever 3 years ago! He has the sweetest most sensitive spirit you could imagine. He gets teary eyed when characters are sad on tv. He genuinely Loves people and looks out for others needs(especially his aunt Katie) If I try and get him a drink he will always say, I think Katie might be thirsty. Every Wednesday the gardeners come, last week Dan went out side and 3 gatorades were lined up on the back patio. He had gotten all the guys gatorade from the fridge and brought them out for them. He is so mature beyond 3 in thoughts that he has, but yet such a wild and crazy 3 year old boy also. He loves to skateboard. He knows how to do manuals and alleys and trys to teach his mom. He loves to skateboard with people and whoever he wants to go with him becomes "your the best skateboarder" "Grandma want to skateboard with me? YOur the best skateboarder"He even gets his grandma to skateboard with him! He loves having all his cousins so close to him and loves how much he gets to play with them. He has adored his little bro from the beginning and it is so precious how they have become buds. He gets this little voice and will squint his eyes and say " oh huddy your so cute" ANyone who has a baby he will tell about His baby Hudson. He loves Hudson and tells him all the things he is going to teach him when he gets older( mainly skateboarding and going potty on the potty chair) Van talks about 20 hours a day, and I LOVE it. He is such a problem solver. He saw a picture of this huge playground and showed me and asked if we could get it for our backyard. I said ask dad. He came back with a slumped shoulders to say dad had say no. I told him to ask again later. The next morning we were all sitting in the kitchen and he asked Dan again. Dan said no and vander turns to me and says " mom you said if I keep asking he will say yes" BUSTED.. The next day we were on our way to church and he brings up the playground again. He says " yeah we don't have enough room. I know maybe I can use my saw and work on that" I told him probably not and his little brain kept going, " I know maybe we c an put it in the street. hmmm might be smashed. Maybe we can build a bridge for the cars to drive over it." I am amazed at all the things he comes up with!! We love his playful sensitive spirit and are so thankful he is part of our family!
